Welcome to St. Paul Lutheran Church & School

We are glad that you found your way to this website and would be honored to have you join us at one of our upcoming worship services! Here at St. Paul, God is building a family of followers. He makes us one with Himself and one with each other by the forgiveness of sins given to us by the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Thus, we are a family. We are a family that is called to follow our Savior every day of our lives and even forever! Please browse our website to get to know more about the ministries of St. Paul Lutheran. But even more I encourage you to join us for worship, to grow in true faith and be a part of what God is doing through this place. God bless you!

New Bible Classes Beginning February 7

Who Am I? What Am I Doing Here?

"I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." - Galatians 2:20

Who am I? What am I doing here? Those are the two questions posed by an upcoming Sunday morning Bible study series. Starting February 7, you will be taken through a six week journey that will answer those questions...and more!

Throughout our lives — even as early as childhood — there comes a time when we may question our existence. What is my purpose in life? Why am I on this planet? Over time, you may be able to push those questions to the back of your mind, but eventually they'll surface again. They won't go away!

But you know what? God has the answers.

"Who Am I? What Am I Doing Here?" will show us how our existence has purpose in Jesus Christ. We are a child of God! And that changes how we live here on earth. Over the six sessions of this series, we'll explore how our identity in Christ changes key areas of our lives and thought. It changes how we view God's creation. It changes how we apply God's Law. It changes how we understand Evolution. It changes how we serve at church and home. It changes how we view our money. And ultimately, it changes our final goal in life — being a member of God's New Creation.

These topics, and others, will be explored in depth during this series. "Who Am I? What Am I Doing Here?" will challenge you and make you reflect in God's Word. See you February 7th! We look forward to taking this journey with you!

Love and Logic Seminar

An eight-week class in basic Love and Logic begins on February 7, 2010 at 9:30am in the St. Paul School gym. Love and Logic is a common-sense approach to childraising that provides practical and effective solutions that work right away - proven to create respect, responsibility and good decision-making.

We will enjoy learning new skills from the award-winning, research-based Love and Logic curriculum, and from one another. This class is for parents, grandparents, educators - anyone who seeks to influence children and adolescents (from 8 months of age through high school!) positively and effectively. We especially want to encourage parenting teams to attend together for mutual encouragement and support in implementing together those tools you believe fit your family best. And come prepared to have some fun!

Lent 2010

Death.

It forces us into a dark corner. It confuses us. It makes us ask questions. Even for Christians, death of loved ones can make us feel like our world is spinning out of control.

Beginning on Ash Wednesday, the St. Paul community will take a journey "From Death unto Life." During the six midweek services of Lent, we'll be exploring the very tough subject of death. Why is there death in the world? What is God doing about it? We'll explore how God's Word answers these questions and gives us real, certain hope in Jesus Christ.

Bring your Bibles! Bring your pens! The sermons of these Wednesday services will take a Bible Study approach. We'll be exploring lots of passages of Scripture, and each week you'll be given a sermon outline for taking notes and filling in blanks.

Get ready! The journey begins on Ash Wednesday, February 17. Services will be at 11:00am and 7:00pm.
